Nimensä mukaankin sääsuojaus suojaa rakennuskohdetta sateilta, jotka voivat aiheuttaa kosteusvaurioita sekä edelleen
homeongelmia. Suojausten avulla myös työskentely rakennuksilla sujuu niin tuulessa kuin tuiskussakin.
– Tämä on ehdottomasti sijoitus, joka kannattaa tehdä. Sääsuojan käyttäminen on pieni kustannus verrattuna
kuluihin, joita aiheutuu, jos rakennus pitää vuosien päästä repiä auki ja korjata, Telinekatajan Juha Pynnönen korostaa.
– Sääsuojaus on jo nyt enemmänkin sääntö kuin poikkeus erityisesti kunnalla sekä valtiolla. Se tulee
varmasti yleistymään edelleen kaikissa suurissa projekteissa, Rakennuspartion Veijo Turkia arvioi.

Miehikkälä education centre was built during the winter under a Telinekataja cover
The construction of the new education centre, with an area
of nearly 3,000 m2, is a significant investment for the
municipality of Miehikkälä, located in Southeast Finland.
“This is a nearly 6.5 million euro investment. The old
school, which was struggling with indoor air quality issues,
was torn down and replaced with a modern building for basic
education,” explains

For the municipality, sustainability of the facility is
important. Telinekataja set up the scaffolding and weather
protection systems for the winter to protect the building
process.
“Our job is to create an environment that allows our
customers to do their job. It is rewarding to come up with and
suggest new operational methods,” says

“We have been satisfied with Telinekataja’s contribution
and solutions, which have made it easier for us to get our
work done,” states Turkia.
A small investment that can bring huge savings
Weather protection systems protect building sites from rain
that could cause moisture damage and, subsequently, the
development of mould.
“This is absolutely an investment that is worth making.
The use of weather protection systems is a minor expense
compared to the costs that might be accrued if a building
would need to be torn open and fixed years later,” emphasises
Juha Pynnönen of Telinekataja.
“Weather protection will surely become more common on
all large project sites,” anticipates Veijo Turkia of Rakennus-
partio.
Under Telinekataja’s weather protection system,
the winter is not spent in hibernation, but rather,
in full work mode. The classrooms, gym and library of
the Miehikkälä education centre are under construction.
