Telinekatajalla pyritään joka
päivä tekemään tapaturmien
osalta nollatulos, ja työ-
turvallisuus on kehittynyt 10
vuodessa huimasti. Vuonna
2016 tapaturmataajuus nousi
edellisvuotta korkeammaksi.
Mittavilla toimenpiteillä se
pyritään saamaan takaisin
laskevalle käyrälle. Tämä
vaatii jokaiselta päivittäin
turvallisuutta edistäviä tekoja
ja havaintoja sekä valvontaa.
We succeeded in achieving our target of keeping
Telinekataja Group’s sales at the record level of the
previous year,
at EUR 54 million. We wish to thank our
customers, partners and staff members that made this
possible.
Strong growth
was seen in the construction sector
across Finland. Demand for weather protection systems
increased significantly, for example, in the fast developing
Tampere region. Our customers are increasingly aware of the
benefits of weather protection. Through our new office in
Turku, we were able to participate in dozens of new projects
and witnessed clear signs of the economy picking up again
in western Finland. Along with the expansion of construction
activities in Finland, also the sales of Layher scaffolding
systems developed very positively.
We at Telinekataja have a tremendous view over a
variety of construction and industrial sites in Finland.
For example, we contributed to several major projects,
such as the Aalto University campus in Otaniemi, Espoo,
shopping centre REDI in Kalasatama, Helsinki and the bridge
building sites along the E18 highway between Hamina and
Vaalimaa in south-eastern Finland. In terms of industry,
excellent collaboration with our key customers across Finland
continued. All in all, we have stable customer relationships,
and the customer satisfaction continues to be at a high level.
Occupational safety, unfortunately, saw a slight
setback in 2016.
The deteriorated accident frequency cannot
be explained by the fact that the same trend was observed in
many of our customer companies. We will do our best to get
this development back on track. You can read more about the
topic in this publication.
Our vision is to be the forerunner
in the scaffolding and
weather protection business in Finland, with a market share
GROWTH AND DEVELOPMENT
– IN CO-OPERATION WITH OUR CUSTOMERS
of over 30 per cent and profitable growth in the cross-border
regions. In terms of market share, we have already reached
the set goal. Gaining the reputation of a forerunner, however,
calls for constant development, which is being done in co-
operation with our customers.
Our strategy focuses
on the development of our
services, international operations and efficiency. In the final
year of this strategy period, we aim for a dialogue with our
customers in order to identify the focal areas for the years
2018–2020.
The productivity of work
at site is an area where we still
have a lot to do. The combination of winter in Finland and a
construction site is challenging, to say the least. We want
to provide our customers with proper working conditions to
enhance the productivity and quality of work in all seasons.
For this purpose, we will launch our MaxxProd service
concept.
Scaffolding business is a growth business,
so we are
continually reinforcing our organisation. Since the start of
2017, we have been able to serve our customers all over
Finland through our seven regional units. We invest in growth
on an annual basis by acquiring the latest Layher equipment.
Further, we believe that our new ERP system will, in the
future, provide digital added value also for our customers.
I wish to thank you for the great year 2016.
In the
future, we will focus on taking the on-site productivity and
quality together to the next level.
